Flotsam & Jetsam~Busy days

A little over one month to go on this project and we are hopping. I have been spending most of my spare time cleaning house and repairing things. A wee bit of time early morning and evening over at SMTR doing my moderator duties, and if I have the time maybe even watching a little TV.

Now, don't get excited...I watch TV shows on DVD, old ones...with no commercials. I swear that advertising went from perking up dull rhetoric to a full blown propaganda machine...ah, don't get me started down THAT road. But I digress...I have been watching season 2 of Mission Impossible, OMG! The people who guest stared on that show...it is way too much fun to see them. And when you know that it was filmed on the same lot and at the same time as Star Trek...you can kinda place what was being filmed over there too. I have to watch this in fits and starts though...they smoke in almost every scene, and I mean pretty much every body smokes and often! I quit 6 years ago and after a while I just can't take it any more.

When it got too much I switched over to Alias Smith and Jones...which is from the same time period...same actors making the rounds. Pernell Roberts, Mark Lenard, etc...watch for some men as sex objects posts to come out of this...especially Pete Duel, he was good which makes his suicide that much sadder. I can't promise naughty pictures, it was a different era...but I will do my best.

I am also hoping to get several more shoots in in August, and am in the process of turning my son's old room into a studio. That way I can have better lighting and back ground control than I have had.

Here are the first run through of pictures from our second shoot last Sunday. I have been way too busy with work to even look at let alone work on any more shots...and trust me, we got a lot of shots! I have several ideas I am working with...I'll let you know if I manage to get what I want...I will post most as I get them finished.

Our first shoot of the day...we were doing some test shots for our 'Gift Wrapped Men' series. There's a greeting card or two in here, just need to trim/crop a bit. But these really came out nice, for all that they are taken in my kitchen.

A quick note~

I have been kept quite busy this week as we start rolling out the last group at work. My spare (!) time has been spent trying to keep up with household chores and yard work...and dealing with moderating chores over at SMTR.

I have 2 photo shoots today, so I will have (hopefully) some new pictures to share. I also will be updating the food blog with a new recipe. And I have some shots from the Tacoma Tall Ship Festival we attended last weekend...might have a few to share from that when I actually get the photos moved from the camera to the 'puter.

Fun with Models~Castor

Castor here is our youngest model, we were afraid that after the first fitting session, he would not choose to come back. We can be a little overwhelming...ahem...but, he did and now he really seems to be having fun with this.

I so can see him doing a 'Dirty Nuncio' (a la Robin Hood~Men in Tights). We will be taking advantage of his Italian good looks, watch for some fun stuff with him in future shoots.

Can we turn the heat down yet? The moss between my toes is drying up and going to blow away soon...then what will protect my poor webbed feet?

I was reading through some back posts the other day, and I sure seem to have wandered off the beaten path. Not a whole lot going on of a dominating nature...guess maybe my schedule has been such that I haven't spent much time looking for a fella in a while...last fella didn't have time for me, he answered my emails eventually, but rarely initiated anything. I may be dominant, but I want to be paid attention to, I want to be made to feel that I am sought after, wanted even...silly ain't it?

Turned 50 the other day, I sure had ideas of where I would be and what I would have at this point...can't say I am too disappointed. But with my sons pretty much gone and living their own lives...the house feels emptier than usual sometimes. The lonely gets a bit longer in the tooth. I am an old hand at filling my days with activities, but the evenings can be too quiet sometimes.

It's a good thing I don't take myself too seriously anymore...I don't suffer from depression...but the maudlin will get me now and then...
